Hey y'all, guess I didn't post this here before. This is my current Professor X Deck. It's been testing fairly well so far, although there is definitely room for improvement.
Main Character: Professor X
Supporting Characters: 30
2 Cosmo
1 Iceman
4 Mantis
1 Hope Summers
4 Doctor Octopus
2 Gambit
3 Storm
3 Beast
3 Wolverine
2 Magneto
1 Emma Frost
2 Dormammu
2 Thanos
I'm pretty happy with the character lineup. I might drop Storm down to 2. I like her, but she's not always needed. Emma Frost might also come out, as I never seem to use her.
Plot Twists: 14
4 Savage Surprise
4 Find Cover
3 Uncanny Defense
2 Squad Tactics
1 Extinguish
Considering dropping some combination of Uncanny Defense and Squad Tactics to make room for X-Factor, which I think should be in here after playtesting. I haven't been able to test the 1 Extinguish much, but I think it might also need to come out.
Locations: 16
4 School for Gifted Youngsters
4 Laboratory
4 Academy
2 Fortress
2 The Vault
Considering finding room for 1 Training Ground, just for when I steel a character, but I don't know if it's worth it, since none of my characters use it.
UPDATE: 11/17/2015
Here's the newest version of the deck:
MC: Professor X
SC: 30
2 Cosmo
2 Iceman
4 Mantis
1 Hope Summers
4 Doctor Octopus
2 Gambit
3 Beast
2 Sabertooth
4 Wolverine
2 Magneto
2 Dormammu
2 Adam Warlock
Locations: 16
4 Laboratory
4 Academy
4 School for Gifted Youngsters
2 The Vault
2 Fortress
Plot Twists: 14
4 X-Factor
4 Find Cover
4 Savage Surprise
2 Uncanny Defense
The Strategy:
Don't attack for the first 4 turns, draw cards (with Genius and with Prof. X's ability), while generating resources at an average pace (slightly accelerated by Mantis). It's okay if Prof. X takes a few wounds within the first 4 turns. After he levels up, come out swinging at full force. It's actually possible to get into a position where it's impossible to lose.
