Grierworld: Loki's flashback ability is not really that good, to be honest. The only reason he is even remotely playable is his high starting health and the ability to strip cards in level 2. Plot twists are already relatively low impact (outside of Think Again and Even the Odds), and it is very easy to play around his flashback. I disagree with this 100%. Getting to reuse the plot twist and then also shuffle it back into the deck is an amazing ability. It basically extends your hand. Think about how good drawing cards is, I personally find this even better than just drawing a card since you know exactly what the card is you are recurring. The thought of there being potentially 5+ Think Again is just plain annoying.

Sterling: Loki's flashback is fine, its just not as game changing as people think. He has to be IN the combat to use the ability, and more often than not your opponent can play around it. As Nathan pointed out, sometimes you will be in a situation where they just can't break through a card in your discard and can't stun Loki that turn, which is nice, but very limited in scope.
This gets even worse with splashed factions (for Even the Odds or Think Again) because normally, if they are attacking Loki, they have poked a hole through key faction pieces that both screen Loki from attacks and enable off faction twists.
Nathan did bring up a good point about the psychological effect of your opponent not knowing what is in your hand, but that wont deter most experienced players. The recursion ability is actually arguably detrimental as well. 99% of the time, I would rather have a Thanos in my hand to play than a plot twist.

This gets even worse with splashed factions (for Even the Odds or Think Again) because normally, if they are attacking Loki, they have poked a hole through key faction pieces that both screen Loki from attacks and enable off faction twists. This is probably true in the early game, as trading supporting characters is relatively easy, but in the later game I think that you can force your opponent to make some very poor decisions based on your board and KO pile. For example, your opponent might want to attack Loki, but can't as there is an Even The Odds in your KO pile, but in order to remove your Guardians icons he has to swing into a big Drax/Adam Warlock (wasting a big hitter), or spend extra effort getting to a back-row Guardian as Loki's KO pile allows him to sit on the front rank. God of Mischief is unlikely to save you when you're behind, but as long as you can play an even game up to the mid-game, it can allow you to control your opponent's plays whilst you position yourself to win.

Im starting to lean towards a more villains/guardian centric.
Hulk, Thanos and Groot control are rampant in my bubble and even the odds is powerful even against straight plot pumps.
My reasoning:
Yondu is a direct counter to Cosmo. Rocket is a direct counter to Ronan and adds the versatility to bounce a plot twist. Access to Gamora is a great counter to 2 health beaters/blockers. Groot is a nice curve smoothener!
More G.G. characters means "give a lift" becomes a viable choice.
Well my thoughts on the deck anyway!!
